Edison International Scholarship

We congratulate Cesar Hernandez; senior student at McFarland High School whom has been selected as a 2016 Edison Scholar and will receive the  $40,000 Edison International Scholarship.

     To qualify for this scholarship; students must be a high school senior planning to pursue science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) at a four-year college or university on a full-time basis. For most of these young people, learning that they won the $40,000 scholarship is one of the most exciting events of their lives, and the start of a new journey toward achievement and success.

     Tammy Tumbling; the Director of Philanthropy and Community Investment at Southern California Edison states “At Edison International, we are proud of our tradition in offering scholarships to help outstanding students like you (Cesar Hernandez) to pursue higher education and become tomorrow’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics leaders. Being selected as an Edison Scholar leaves no doubt that you will achieve success, and we look forward to seeing and learning about the results of your work over the next four years”.
