Housing Authority of the County of Kern: Countywide assistance, if you know families who are behind on their rent or utilities, or are living with people who are behind on their rent and/or utilities, will you please share this with them and encourage them to apply. County of Kern Planning & Natural Resources Department: The program is still available to help members of the community who have permanent physical disabilities and are in a low-income household making accessibility improvements to their place of residence. See flyer for more information.
Kern County Network for Children - The Dream Center: The Dream Center is grateful for all the ways that service providers and community members help Kern’s foster youth up to age 25. If you have gently used clothing (adult sizes and/or infant – 4T), household or baby items; or, would like to donate emergency food, hygiene or other items on our wish list, please drop them off at 1807 19th Street, Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
