Welcome to Child Welfare and Attendance

     Our department provides specialized services that cover topics ranging from compliance with compulsory education laws, student admission and enrollment procedures, student discipline procedures, transfers to alternative programs, to promotion of positive attendance, school climate and safety. Our job is to link school sites within the district with knowledge and resources designed to resolve problems of chronic absenteeism and truancy through services and specialized interventions. We also serve to provide supports and resiliency for at-promise disadvantaged youth facing barriers to an equitable education.
