     The United States has a long history of welcoming immigrants from all parts of the world. America values the contributions of immigrants who continue to enrich this country and preserve its legacy as a land of freedom and opportunity.   Deciding to become a U.S. citizen is one of the most important decisions in an individual’s life. If you decide to apply to become a U.S. citizen, you will be showing your commitment to the United States and your loyalty to its Constitution. In return, you are rewarded with all the rights and privileges that are part of U.S. citizenship.

Classes are provided every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Preparing for the U.S. Citizenship Interview

The McFarland Unified School District Adult Education Program offers free Citizenship Classes and ESL/Citizenship Classes (for adults with limited English). Citizenship classes are open entry. Please call for registration instructions.

• Learn about U.S. history, the U.S. government, the N400, and about the questions asked in the USCIS citizenship interview.
• Are you ready for the real USCIS test? First, take practice citizenship tests and quizzes with us.
• Get paper copies of the 100 USCIS questions and other information (if you have access to a printer).

CITIZENSHIP CLASS WILL:

• give help in completing application forms
• study U.S. History and Government & practice interviews and interview questions
• also include practice in reading, writing, and English conversation
